About me
Brian Horner is in his 27th year of education and currently teaches in the Project Idea Plus program for gifted students in Naperville District #203. He is the founder of Kid Innovation College which offers academic enrichment to students in the western suburbs of Chicago. In addition, he is a consultant with the Institute for Habits of Mind and has given multiple presentations for the organization, most recently at the 2024 International Habits of Mind Conference in California. He has spoken at national conferences and universities on the development of student thinking, the Habits of Mind, and giftedness.
Brian loves poetry, music, grilling out, his amazing wife and 3 kids, his lazy mastador dog who sleeps 22 hours a day, his lifelong friendships with students, and Spaghettios—of which he usually eats about 5 cans per week. Hence, never ask about his health, which is sketchy at best.
